The world’s most famous feline character, Hello Kitty, celebrated her 40th anniversary on 1st November 2014 with an inaugural Hello Kitty Run Singapore. The only Hello Kitty birthday bash in Southeast Asia flagged-off at Sentosa Gateway with a one-of-a-kind birthday cupcake tower and birthday song sung by 17,000 fans.
All participants are entitled to an exclusive runner’s t-shirt and a special edition commemorative Hello Kitty plush toy.
In addition to the run, the Hello Kitty Run housed post-race fringe activities for
participants to look forward to.
With three different categories to choose from, a fun time was in store for one and all at the My Little Pony: Friendship Run 2016. The young ones can take part in the 1KM Pony Run with their parent(s), while the young-at-heart can choose between the solo 4KM Fun Run, or to double the fun in the 6KM Besties run.
The first ever commercial race to be held at the newly launched Gardens by the Bay back in 2012, this event took runners through a scenic 10KM and 5KM race around the Marina Bay.
Focusing on the importance of hydration and how Pocari Sweat differentiates itself as an ion-supply drink, this race has brought about Pocari Sweat’s brand awareness in the local sports drink market, as participants felt the difference with adequately chilled drinks at all hydration stations.
Get a glimpse of the rich heritage and color that is Singapore. Come with your family, friends or conquer it all on your own! At the start of the race, participants will be given a race map with marked control points across the island. Runners should then plan their running route to cross all control points in the fastest time and return to the start point.
Known for its City route since 2011, participants enjoy this race for the local scenic City skyline and vibrant flowers around the area during their run. Being an iconic race featuring conventional
categories like the 21KM Half Marathon, 10KM, and 5KM, this race attracts runners from all backgrounds – whether they are just starting, building up their endurance, or even aiming for a PB.
This year, full proceeds collected from the run will be donated to Make-A-Wish Singapore, the only wish granting foundation that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experiences with hope, strength and joy. Whether it’s flying a plane, becoming a dancer or meeting a Formula One racing driver, research has indicated that a child whose magical wish had come true showed significant improvements in hope, positive emotions and health-related quality of life.
